Rugged Comprehension – A Haiku Song…

The song is about three haiku poems. True beauty involves hardship, attractiveness ends in conflict, and comfort increases loss. In this case, hardship is actually your friend. The visual, a minimal art sketch on newsprint paper using compressed charcoal: “The Astute Observer”. In the series of digitizations, the observer finally becomes a world traveler, still watching as the universe proceeds. The song was written in Paris, France in the Spring of 1980. The drawing was done in New York City in Spring of 1966. The digital work derived from the sketch was done in 2004.
