@kevin1278 then why did you come back aren’t you suppose to be thinking about thousands of things you shouldn’t do so you can get a key to heaven

@Moshikashitenai The only evidence that religulous people provide is bible and existence of everything around us. As far as bible goes, I have never read any other fairytale so boring, inconsistent and unscientific. And if a person does not realizes how it is possible for everything around him to exist without a supernatural being, does not prove the existence of one. And let me remind us once again. The burden on proving of presents of invisible elephant in the room lays on the one who stated.

Alright, I’m going to be honest with you. I was trying to speed up these reply’s to you, because I believed them to be going nowhere. But… this reply… hmm. Looks like we have a debate on our hands, my friend.
I must warn you though, I Intend to go off topic to get my point across. Let’s begin…

  4. SunStridar March 16, 2010 2:19 am

Quote from my Mother; “I wouldn’t call a code that puts worshipping God above not killing, moral.”

  5. SunStridar March 16, 2010 2:21 am

Research shows that the reason humans struggle with emotion to find equitable solutions is pinpointed the region of the brain called the insular cortex, or insula, which is also the seat of emotional reactions. The fact that the brain has such a robust response to unfairness shows that sensing unfairness is a basic evolved capacity. The emotional response to unfairness pushes people from extreme inequity and drives them to be fair.

  6. SunStridar March 16, 2010 2:22 am

This observation shows our basic impulse to be fair isn’t a complicated thing that we learn. It therefore fully illustrates that all humans have morals controlled by the brain and that religious people are entirely wrong to try and claim morals as a standard of religion.

Government statistics show that christians are vastly over represented in prisons for sexual, violent and fraudulent crime.

The Catholic church is paying millions in compensation for the sex/pedophile crimes of their priests alone.

Christians are vastly over represented in the divorce courts.

Christians invented the concept of sin and then the idea that you could sin, ask forgiveness, get pardoned and start with a clean sheet.

  8. SunStridar March 16, 2010 2:26 am

Now to be more blunt. The main problem I have with the “10 commandments” Is ascribing them to a God that does not exist, instead of the humans who thought them up. It violates the very first one and undermines the credibility of all the others. Some of those ideas could improve the lives of others socially, but not all of them. The “no adultery” one is unrealistic and ignores our basic nature. Therefore, It would generate conflict, as It does, now.

  9. SunStridar March 16, 2010 2:28 am

The best you could do with those ideas is call them suggestions and not commandments. To make them commandments flies in the face of our nature as beings with free will. Many would rebel against them on that basis alone.

  10. SunStridar March 16, 2010 2:30 am

Oh…….. and there Is the whole thing of, being damned to Hell If you don’t follow these, so called commandments… crunch, crunch, grind, grind. You get the point…

You know, you guys can all stop trying to argue with George Carlin. As much as I hate to say it, he is dead. And, if you don’t like what he says, don’t listen. Non-religious people sure as hell aren’t listening to you. For the count, I am religious.

@kevin1278 he worships the sun, it is as much as worshipping Jesus, the Sun god, look up the Greatest Story Ever Sold, you would find out that Jesus is pretty much the Sun God.

George Carlin is simply bright. He IS the modern day prophet. He sees relations and things that are not true about the bible. The bible is man-made.

  16. gas7119 March 16, 2010 5:12 am

Thank you and fuck your beliefs and opinions on how you think I’ll go to hell. There is no such place. Religion is stupid, a waste of your life time and money.

    @jaws1973able

Which “god” are you talking about these days when you say “God bless”???

My “G-d” in particular, is the Lord.
