    it was ongoing, and i believe it was a hereditary susceptibility to it. family history and all that. really its shocking that he lived as long as he did with congestive heart failure. the way it works is that the heart muscle doesnt work as efficiently, and eventually craps out and doesnt work at all.
    he was and is my hero. i got to see him live twice, and i cherish the memories. I was raised watching carlin, hes like an uncle.
